The range of products we offer includes sprockets, dual-lead worm gears, commercial and high-precision gears, helical gears and high-performance sprockets.

Sprocket

Szp Group provides a full range of drive sprockets for British standard chains with a maximum pitch of 114 inches to ensure the longest working life and productivity for your application.Other sizes of sprockets can be provided upon request, including those that meet US standard sizes.Special sprockets can also be manufactured in special materials or formats upon request, usually to meet specific applications in harsh or difficult driving situations, for example; welding of sprocket with shaft or installation of detachable hub with shear pin device. Necklace sprocket consists of chain plate It is composed of a separate tooth part and is used to rotate a large drum or workbench.Combination sprockets (two or more sprockets are combined together, with different pitch sizes and numbers of teeth).Sprockets with two or more segments, namely split sprocket or segment sprocket.Sprocket and chain compatibility Most drives have an even number of pitches in the chain, and by using drive sprockets with odd numbers of teeth, uniform wear distribution on the chain and sprocket teeth is ensured.The number of teeth of the driving sprocket and the driven sprocket can be even, but the wear distribution on the sprocket teeth and the chain is very poor.The maximum number of teeth of any driven sprocket should not exceed 2.This limitation is because for a given chain that stretches due to wear and tear, the working pitch diameter of the chain on the sprocket is relative to the nominal pitch circle diameter, that is, the position of the chain on the sprocket teeth is higher.The allowable safety chain wear is considered to be of the order of 200% elongation over the nominal length.The simple formula to determine how much chain elongation a sprocket can hold is 50/N, expressed as a percentage, where N is the number of teeth on the largest sprocket in the drive system.If the driving sprocket and the driven sprocket are operated by the same chain, for example, the transmission ratio is 1:1, it is a good practice that the total number of teeth is not less than 25.The two sprockets should each have 30 teeth.Center distance In order to obtain the best wear life, the center distance between the two sprockets should usually be in the range of 50 to 30 times the chain pitch.For drive recommendations with a center distance of less than 2 pitches or greater than three meters, we recommend discussing the drive details with our technicians.The minimum center distance sometimes depends on the amount of chain overlap on the drive sprocket. In this case, we usually recommend that the number of teeth meshing with the chain is not less than six.The center distance is also governed by the desirability of using chains with odd pitches to avoid the use of crank links, unless this practice is not recommended under special circumstances.For driving in a horizontal plane, the shortest center distance should be used as much as possible and consistent with the recommended chain overlap (up to six teeth) on the drive sprocket.

Double guide worm gear

Szp Group DL series double-lead worm gear consists of two leads.One tooth surface of the worm thread and the mating side of its gear teeth are manufactured with one lead, while the lead of the other tooth side and its mating gear teeth is slightly different.As far as the worm is concerned, this has the effect of creating a worm thread with an increased thickness from one end to the other end of the worm.Therefore, if the worm moves in the axial direction when meshing with the worm gear, the backlash between the pair can be adjusted to a desired amount.In practice, gears are manufactured to achieve initial backlash at a certain distance from the reference plane on the worm.The worm can then be adjusted from this point as needed during the life of the gear. The DL series double-lead worm gear provides many advantages for the split worm gear design.It provides a kinematically correct gear, which can run in any direction of rotation, and its backlash can be steplessly adjusted from the acceptable maximum to zero.Precision double-lead worm gears with adjustable backlash are widely used in turntables, tool drives and machine tool positioning mechanisms.
